Oasis Care is a new company and we are passionate about providing the highest standards of care for the young people we are privileged to look after. We employ qualified, appropriately trained, and experienced staff, all of whom have a background working with young people who display emotional and behavioural difficulties. We undertake a thorough risk assessment for all our activities based on the individual young person and we have robust safety procedures in place. We follow standard Missing from Home protocols and complete appropriate and relevant Key work sessions, which are identified on an individual basis and agreed upon through the Social Care team. This assists in identifying triggers and then supporting the young person to develop coping strategies. Communication is crucial in any placement and we maintain regular contact with Social workers and provide weekly updates on their progress.
Oasis Care passionately believes that a successful placement is one of the key parts in the referral process. In the referral process it is essential that we consider each referral very carefully for us to be able to placement match effectively.
At the point when it is determined that a placement may be required, and throughout the subsequent process of identification, planning and placement, the Social Worker and placements team must provide details of information relevant to the young person, previous placement information including a chronology of previous placement breakdowns.
Following a strict and Challenging Recruitment Process, our Team Members are all Safer Recruited and DBS checked prior to employment.
This ensures that every Team Member we recruit are overa and above the Minimum Standards required for Employment in the Security and Care Sectors.
All our staff undertake manditory training by ‘Team Teach‘ such Physical Intervention as Safe Guarding, Medication, and CALM and will also complete additional online training. This is to ensure all our staff are working together to support the young persons or an individual child. Training will be ongoing to ensure we meet the highest of standards.
